About Us

Hi, I'm Lydia, the owner of Scruffs 2 Fluffs Grooming.

The inspiration behind Scruffs 2 Fluffs is my beautiful rescue Cocker Spaniel, Lois. Not only is she the most beautiful girl (I'm a little biased, I know!), she's affectionate, incredibly clever, and an amazing singer. When Lois first came into my life, she struggled to trust people, and visiting the groomers was one of the challenges she faced. Wanting to help dogs like Lois feel comfortable and cared for sparked my interest in dog grooming. With my love of dogs already firmly established, I started looking into how I could become a dog groomer, and I'm so glad I did, because I absolutely love it!

My love for dogs didn't start there, though. I've always been passionate about animals, and when I left school, I knew I wanted a career working with them. I attended animal college, where I gained my Level 2 Animal Management qualification and Canine First Aid certification.

Since leaving college, I have worked in the local family-run pet shop Pets Plus, which has played a huge role in my working journey and helped me develop a depth of knowledge around animals and their individual needs. Before starting Scruffs 2 Fluffs, I also enjoyed dog sitting for friends' furry family members while they were away on holiday, giving me experience caring for dogs of all breeds, ages, and personalities.
